The Hunger Alliance of Ghana is the facilitator for the establishment of the Parliament Hunger Caucus. The Alliance therefore provides the requisite technical secretarial and administrative support to the Caucus. Currently there are twenty [20] members of the Caucus. The establishment of the Caucus is to give further boost to the work of the Alliance as the members will continue to back the Alliance with the necessary political will and legislative arsenals to make the desired impact on the hungry in Ghana. This is critical considering the devastating effect of hunger on national development and security.
The caucus is a bi-partisan Caucus that brings the members of all sides of the political divide together to advocate and legislate against hunger and by so doing, bring hunger issues at the centre of governance for the necessary national attention. |
